University of Waikato is having its first Open Day at the Tauranga Campus! On Friday the 21st of June. The brand new campus in the heart of the Tauranga CBD (101-121) Durham Street will be opening its doors for prospective students and secondary school staff members.
There will be a range of mini lectures running throughout the day, and our Faculties will have stalls set up on campus and be available to answer any questions. Food trucks will be available on site if students wish to purchase their lunch, however there will also be various free food and giveaways on offer too. We will have a room available for Teachers and Careers Advisers to base themselves in throughout the day and there will also be a small lunch provided for you there too.
The final travel arrangements are being confirmed with the Tauranga City Council, but it will likely mean that the bus stop is located on Cameron Road where we will have staff available to meet you and direct the way to the new campus. If you are bringing a group of students along, we encourage you to register your attendance as soon as possible so we can keep you updated around all the travel arrangements and logistics for the event as they are finalised.
Ara invites you to open day to discover how Ara can give you the advantage – with a huge choice of career-focused courses, inspirational mentors and real-life learning environments that ensure you graduate work-ready.
Talk to their tutors, attend an information session, tour the campus and even enrol on the day ( to enrol you would need to remember to bring ID such as a passport or birth certificate).
